If you are driving in eastbound from Birmingham on Hwy 280, turn left at the Big B BBQ restaurant, on Hwy 22 which is marked on the map below as Lee St. Proceed north on 22/Lee St. for about 1/2 mile. The road will eventually parallel railroad tracks on your left, and you will see a crossover to get over to the road on the other side of the tracks, which is Washington St. Jump over the tracks and make an immediate right turn onto Washington Street. Proceed one half mile and look for the brick entrance on the left side. Turn left, and almost immediately take another left at the first driveway. Follow around to the back driveway and up the hill between the garages.
From the hotels, the directions are the same, except that from the Jameson Inn, make a right turn at the Big B BBQ, onto Hwy 22 / Lee Street. Follow north to the crossover.

Wellborn Musclecar Museum - Friday events

Use the same directions as above (Take Lee St and jump the RR tracks and continue north on Washington. Shortly it will turn into Broad St. The museum is on your left next to the Sonic. Do not bring trailers to the museum.

Directions to the Willow Point Golf and Country Club. 2544 Willow Point Rd, Alex City, AL 35010 256-212-1409
From 280 in Alex City, go east from the intersection of 280 and Hwy 22 a few blocks to the Russell Retail Store. There, turn right on Elkahatchee Rd. Follow this road eight miles to the T intersection at the Pure Gas Station. Turn right on Willow Point Rd. At the guard shack, tell them you are a guest at the Villas. Drive south through the golf course to the clubhouse. Go left and follow the signs to the Villas and check-in.
Trailers are okay in the clubhouse parking lot.
Directions from Alex City to Talladega Superspeedway
This is the scenic cruise to the track through the Talladega National Forest. These are all very lightly travelled backroads.
From the Marketplace Shopping Center lot, go left (west) on 280. Proceed 8 miles to Hwy 9 north.
Go right on Hwy 9 north. Proceed 18 miles to Hwy 148.
Turn left on 148 west. Go 2 miles to County Rd 18.
Bear soft right on 18. Hwy 18 will turn into County Rd 7 along the way and will tee into State Hwy 77.
Turn left on 77 north, and proceed 7 miles to Hwy 321 (Stockdale Rd).
Turn hard right on 321. Watch out for the RR tracks - rough crossing !! Go 6 miles north to Hwy 21.
Turn right on Hwy 21, proceed one mile to Hwy 399 (Curry Station Rd)
Turn left on 399. Proceed 10 miles north to Talladega Speedway Blvd. (399 deadends on Speedway Blvd.) Watch out for the sharp left hand curve.
Saturday:
Proceed west on Speedway Blvd. Just past the main entrance, get in the left lane and turn left into the Motorsports Hall of Fame Museum parking lot.
Sunday:
Go west on Speedway Blvd. Likely all traffic will be flowing in one direction, so you may be able to just drive into what would normally be the oncoming lane. Turn left at the NASCAR Testing entrance. Turn right into the speedway. Close to the track will be a fenced area for us off to the left.
